Oak Brook U14 Titans Bring Home Another CUP!
Rockford Watermelon Tournament

The Oak Brook Soccer Club U14 Girls (Titans) continued their winning streak as they close out their season with their 3rd Championship of the year. The U14 Titans took home another Cup in dramatic style defeating some of the top teams in the Midwest at the Rockford Watermelon Tournament (June 13-14).

The girls started off the tournament by defeating Illinois Fusion 4-2, losing to Iowa 1-0 and then defeating the Chicago Magic 1-0 to advance to the semi-finals where they met the Appleton (WI) Goal Getters. Chicago Magic and Appleton compete in the highly competitive Midwest Regional League (MRL) where only the best teams in the Midwest compete in league play.

The U14 Titans defeated Appleton 2-0 to advance to the Finals where they once again met the Chicago Magic, who advanced by virtue of defeating Iowa IFC 3-2 on penalty kicks.

The finals ended regulation time with the score tied 1-1. After double OT, and no team scoring, the teams advanced to penalty kicks where OBSC defeated the Chicago Magic for the second straight victory 3-2.
