     Oak Brook Soccer Club opens seasons with strong showing at Palatine Celtic Cup

    The Oak Brook Soccer club kicked off their season with some very strong results in the 28th annual Palatine Celtic Cup against some of the best teams in the state. The club was represented by the girls U8, U11 and U14 teams along with the boys U12 team.

    The girls U11 team brought home the second place trophy in the top bracket of the U11 girls division. The team finished their bracket play with a record of 2 wins and 1 loss and qualified for the semi-final round with total goals for of 12. In the semi-finals on Sunday, the girls defeated Arlington Aces Academy 6 to 1 to move into the finals were they fell to Lake Forest SA Sterling.
